Holy men and women whose lives bore witness to the reality of spiritual warfare, and who intercede for this ministry.
Prince of the Heavenly Host
Quis ut Deus? · “Who is like God?” · Feast: 29 September
Captain of the armies of Heaven, who cast the rebel angels from the presence of God. He is the great defender of the Church and the foremost protector of every soul in spiritual combat. Under his standard this ministry takes its stand — for the battle is his before it is ours, and by his intercession the enemy is put to flight. His prayer is our rallying cry.
Principal Patroness
1878 – 1903 · The Passion Flower of Lucca · Feast: 11 April
A mystic who bore the stigmata and endured direct, repeated assaults from the devil — recorded in her own diary and by those who witnessed her life. Through radical trust in the Passion of Christ, she overcame every torment. She is the guiding patroness of Liberated in Christ, a model of the soul that suffers, resists, and is set free.
Our Advocates
Each was chosen for a particular witness in the spiritual combat — some who endured the enemy's direct assaults, others who conquered him through purity, obedience, and love.
Mary, Mediatrix of Grace
The Blessed Mother who unties the tangled knots of sin, oppression, and disorder in our lives, presenting our petitions to her Son. In every degree of the combat, she goes before us and crushes the head of the serpent.
Devotion · Feast of the Immaculate Conception, 8 December
Martyr of Charity
Apostle of consecration to the Immaculata, who offered his own life in place of another at Auschwitz. A champion against the powers of darkness who taught that total entrustment to Mary is the surest armor.
1894 – 1941 · Feast: 14 August
Virgin & Martyr
Patroness of purity and of the young, who chose death over sin and, in dying, forgave her attacker. A powerful intercessor against the temptations of the flesh and a witness to the triumph of grace and mercy.
1890 – 1902 · Feast: 6 July
Apostle of the Rosary
Once ensnared in spiritualism and the occult, he was converted and liberated by the mercy of God and the Rosary of Pompeii, becoming one of its greatest apostles. Living proof that no bondage is beyond the reach of deliverance.
1841 – 1926 · Feast: 5 October
Father of Western Monasticism
Whose medal and cross are the Church's enduring shield against evil — Vade retro Satana, “Begone, Satan.” A bulwark of protection whose sign the faithful wear against every snare of the enemy.
c. 480 – 547 · Feast: 11 July
Stigmatist & Confessor
Who wrestled the enemy in body and soul, bore the wounds of Christ for fifty years, and drew countless souls back to God through the confessional. A model of perseverance under extraordinary assault.
1887 – 1968 · Feast: 23 September
